Casa di Melo is an ancient farmhouse in Eastern Sicily, recently renovated into a lovely farm holiday resort.

It lies beneath an organic citrus plantation which is the green lung of our business. Our farm has been cultivating organic products for the past 30 years. To us, organic is a lifestyle, a better way of living with a low environmental impact. It is a lifestyle we would like to share with you.
We created an environment in harmony with surrounding nature so that you can fully enjoy the leisure of Sicily’s countryside.

Our bistrot

Vegetarian cuisine with vegan option, seasonal products with km 0 products from our organic farm and our organic suppliers.
The tradition of sicilian cuisine, seasonality and organic products are the key elements of our cuisine. Our goal is to share the fusion of our culinary experiences around the world with travelers and with those who work with food in the kitchen. Family recipes are the background to our culinary offer which is always led to the creation of new recipes with a healthy relationship between quality, sustainability and tradition following the saying “We are what we eat”.

Organic breakfast

Breakfast is one of the most important experiences at home. A room with tables created by our young blacksmith friend, hosts freshly baked goods, typical of the Sicilian tradition. Breakfast is then served on the patio furnished with jasmine and lemon trees. All breakfast products are organic and the offer is international: fresh seasonal fruit, homemade donuts, homemade biscuits, white and multigrain bread, rusks, homemade jams, dried fruit, homemade muesli, yogurt, fruit salad, cow’s milk, soy milk, almond and oat milk. Followed by pizzas, focaccias, omelettes, cheeses, tomatoes, ricotta and mozzarella. To drink from the cafeteria, the wide choice of our selection of teas and infusions and last but not least the juice of fresh oranges just picked from our garden.

Ideal location between Syracuse and Noto

Casa di Melo is located in a special position: only 12 kms away from Syracuse, very close to the beaches of Fontane Bianche and just 15 minutes away from Noto. A perfect base from where to start discovering the magic of culture, nature and food of South Eastern Sicily.
And for those of you who are not content of being just a short distance away from the seaside, there’s a beautiful swimming pool that fits harmoniously within the landscape, just in front of the farmhouse.

Casa di Melo is the place where travelers from all over the world can find a home for a few days before leaving. In our house travelers will find a relaxing garden with its sensory experiences, our small bistrot where the proposed cuisine is made of traditional recipes and organic ingredients of our company and the rooms, equipped with all comforts.
